Diploma in Electrical Engineering (OR)
Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (OR)
Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering (OR)
Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering (OR) Diploma in Computer Science (OR)
Diploma in Information Technology (Regular/part time).
Technical Assistant/ Mechanical:
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Regular/part time).
Assistant Draughtsman:
ITI Craftsmanship Certificate in the trades of Draughtsman (Civil) and Draughtsman (Mechanical).
Field Assistant (Trainee):
ITI (National Trade certificate/National Apprenticeship certificate) in Electrical (OR) Wireman.

Pay Scale:
Technical Assistant Electrical - Rs.5400 – 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2800/- pm.
Technical Assistant/ Mechanical- Rs.5400 – 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2800/- pm.
Assistant Draughtsman- Rs.5400 – 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 2200/- pm.
Field Assistant (Trainee) - training period with a consolidated pay of 7300/- pm. after successful completion of the training period they will be placed in Pay Band of Rs.5400 – 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 1900/- pm.
Selection Mode:
Selection will be made in two Successive Stages (i.e,)
(Written examination + Viva-voce Interview)
Written Examination in OMR Format - 100 marks
Part-I-General Tamil/General English -20 items/marks.
Part-II Aptitude & Mental Ability Test -20 items/marks.
Part-III General Studies - 60 items/marks.
