Presidency University (PU) has issued online application for the posts of Junior Library Assistant, Technical Assistant and Junior Assistant, Junior Peon. The Eligible candidates may apply through online website www.presiuniv.ac.in on or before of the application date 21 March 2016.

Educational Qualifications:

Proficiency, Spoken written in the medium (English) of instruction in the University.

Essential qualification:

• Bachelor Degree followed by Diploma / Degree in Library science from recognized university.
• B.Sc/BCA/Post Graduate Diploma in Engineering recognized by the State Council of Technical Education.
• Higher secondary or its equivalent examination recognized by the Council of Higher Secondary Education West Bengal.
• Class three Standards.

Desirable qualifications:

• Knowledge of University Decimal Classifications.
• Knowledge of Computer Application preferably in Librarianship/Library automations.
• Minimum one year experience in Academic Institute like University or in an Institute of higher learning.
• Experience in handling Computer / Software. Minimum one year experience in academic Institute like University or in an Institute of higher.
• Three years Bachelors degree with at least 45% marks. Basic knowledge of word processing / Spread sheet/ Accounting software from a recognized university.
• Proficiency in English and Knowledge in drafting letters / fair knowledge in finance & accounting process. Minimum one year experience in official work in academic Institute like University or in an Institute of higher learning.
• Can read/write English. Minimum one year experience in academic Institute like University or in an Institute of higher learning.

Age Limit:

The age of the eligible candidates more than 18 to 40 years. Age relaxation as per norms, for SC/ST and OBC candidates 5 and 3 years respectively.

Pay Scale:

The Institute is fixed for the basic pay of candidates band Rs. 9000- 28300/- with a grade pay Rs. 4400/- , Rs. 9000 – 38300/- with a grade pay Rs. 4400/-, Rs. 7200 – 25400/- with a grade pay Rs. 3300/-, Rs. 5400 – 18600/- with a grade pay Rs. 1800/-.

Selection Mode:

The selection process is through the basis of institute is conducting interview.
