Master Degree in any discipline from recognized
University/Institute (S.No.1,2). - Graduation in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale (S.No.3).
- Bachelor Degree in Accountancy/Finance or MBA (Finance) group with good academic Records (S.No.11).
- Bachelor Degree or Master Degree in science subjects (S.No.4).

BE/B.Tech relevant field from a recognized
University/institute (S.No.5). - 12th Class pass and speed in shorthand 80w/min in Stenography (S.No.6).
- 10+2 pass and ITI Course certificate or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized Polytechnic/Institute (S.No.7,9 posts).
- 10+2 pass and typing speed of 35w/min and proficiency in computer word processing and spread sheet (S.No.8).
- 10+2 pass and Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery and should be registered as nurse/midwife (S.No.10).
NIT selection committee conduct Test & Interview basis.
Application fee Rs.300/- in the form of Bank Demand Draft in favor of The Director, NIT, Puducherry (Payable at Karaikal).
