- Certificate of competency (License to act as Engineer) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Department (S.No.1,2,3 posts).
- Certificate of competency (Engine Driver 1st class) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Department (S.No.4 posts).
- SSC pass and National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the Trade of Draughtsman/Refrigeration and Air Conditioning/Millwright Mechanic/Diesel Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Mechanic (S.No.5,22,23,24,30,31 posts).

SSLC/HSC pass or Diploma/Graduation in Mechanical/Mechanical & Industrial Eng./Mechanical &
Production Eng./Production Eng (S.No.6-11 posts). - National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the Trade of Mechanist/Electronic Mechanic/Electrician/ (S.No.12,13,14 posts).
- SSC pass and MDL/ Ship-building industry as Electric Crane Operator certificate course pass (S.No.15 posts).
- VIIIth Class pass and National Apprenticeship Examination Certificate trade of Painter/Carpenter/Welder/Rigger (S.No.16-19 posts).
- SSC pass or Indian Army/Navy/Air Force class – I examination passed and 15 years of service in the Armed Forces of the Union (S.No.27 posts).
- Vth Class pass and one year experience as Tug/Launch Crew.GP rating (S.No.28).
Age limit shall be 18-33years as on 01/02/2014.Upper age limit is applicable as per Govt. Order.
Contract Period : Two Years.
