Education Qualifications :

Assistant Engineer (Machinist) :

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Must be Seven years experience in turning, milling/grinding and boring work

Assistant Engineer (Shipwright Wood) :

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering discipline
• Must be Seven years experience in carpentry works

Assistant Engineer (Painting) :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry (OR)
• Diploma in any branch of Engineering with seven years experience in painting works

Assistant Catering Officer :

• Diploma  in Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition course with seven years experience as Supervisor in Factory Canteen (OR)
• Graduation with one year Certificate in Industrial/Institutional Food Service Management and seven years experience as Supervisor in a Factory Canteen.

Accountant :

• Master Degree (M.Com) in Commerce Subject
• Must be seven years experience in Finance/Accounting works

Technical Assistant :

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering disciplines
• Must be seven Years experience in planning and production control activities in Shipyard/Dockyard or Heavy Engineering Company.

Junior Technical Assistant :

• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Civil Engineering disciplines
• Must be four years experience relating to works in Hull, Engineering, Electrical, Civil and Electronics. Preparation of Reports, Stores and Material Accounting, Updating ERP System, Man hour Booking, Record and Report Generation, Invoice preparation in a Shipyard/Heavy Engineering Company.

Senior Ship Draftsman :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) Examination pass
• Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with two years experience/training as Draftsman in  Shipyard or Heavy Engineering Company.

Junior Commercial Assistant :

• Diploma in Commercial Practice/Computer Science/ Information Technology
• Must be four years experience in matters relating to Office work, Updating ERP System, Man hour Booking, Data entry, Record and Report Generation, maintenance of files, registers and records in a Shipyard/Heavy Engineering Company.

Stenographer :

• Graduation in Science/Commerce/Computer Applications /Business Administration (OR)
• Diploma in Commercial Practice from State Board of Technical Education
• Shorthnd speed 80 words/min & transcription speed 25 words/min in English and four years experience as a Stenographer in Government Establishment or Public/Private Sector Undertaking/ Companies/Reputed Commercial Establishments.

Store Keeper :

• Graduation in any discipline
• PG Diploma in Materials Management or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical)
• Must be four years experience in storekeeping in Shipyard/Heavy Engineering Company/Government.

Instrument Mechanic :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• ITI (NTC/AINTT) in Instrument Mechanic Trade with Five years experience in the repair and maintenance of Instrument Gauges, Pneumatic, Electric and Hydraulic controlling systems of various equipment, gas cutting machines, pressure regulators, heating equipment

Welder Cum Fitter :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• ITI (NTC/AINTT) in Fitter (Structural/Pipe (Plumber)/Sheet Metal Worker/ Welder (Gas & Electrical) or Fitter or Mechanic (Motor Vehicle/Diesel /Tractor/Earth Moving Machinery) Trade with Five years experience in Shipbuilding/ Ship repair yard or Heavy Engineering Company.

Fitter (Electrical) :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• ITI (NTC/AINTT in Electrician Trade with Five years experience as Mechanic or Electrician.

Fitter (Electronics) :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• ITI (NTC/AINTT) in Electronic Mechanic Trade with Five years experience in the repair and maintenance of electronic control circuits of industrial equipments/onboard Ships/ Shipyard or Heavy Engineering Company.

Painter :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• ITI (NTC/AINTT) in Painter (Marine/General)/Fitter/Sheet Metal Worker Trade with Five years experience as Painter (Marine) in Shipbuilding/ Ship repair yard or Heavy Engineering Company.

Shipwright Wood :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• ITI (NTC/AINTT) in Shipwright Wood (Carpenter)Trade with Five years experience as Carpenter in Shipbuilding/ Ship repair yard or Heavy Engineering Company.

Machinist :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• ITI (NTC/AINTT) in Shipwright Wood (Carpenter)Trade with Five years experience as Machinist in operating Machine Tools.

Crane Operator (Electrical) :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• ITI (NTC/AINTT) in Electrician/Electronic Mechanic Trades  with Five years experience in operating EOT cranes in  Shipbuilding/ Ship repair yard or Heavy Engineering Company.

Crane Operator (Diesel) :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• ITI (NTC)  in Fitter or Mechanic (Diesel) Trade  with Five years experience in the operation and maintenance of Mobile Cranes in  Shipyard or Heavy Engineering Company.

Serang :

• School Standard (VIIth) pass
• Must have Serang Certificate issued by the Mercantile Marine Department and
• Two years as Serang of aMotor Boat to carry 20 or more passengers

Fireman :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• Fire Fighting course from  State Fire Force or Public Sector Undertaking or recognised Fire Fighting course in the Armed Forces or Training in Fire Watch/Patrol from State Fire Fighting Force.

Semi Skilled Rigger :

• 4th standard Pass and
• Must be five years experience in Rigging of heavy-duty machine parts, assisting in the erection of machinery/ equipment.

Staff Car Driver :

• 10th Standard (SSLC) from recognized Board
• Must have valid Driving License for driving Light Vehicles issued by the Union of India and three years experience as Staff Car Driver in Public or Private Sector.

Lascar (Floating Craft) :

• VIIth Standard pass
• Must have valid Certificate of Competency (Lascar) issued by the Competent Authority.

Service Assistant (Office) :

• VIIth/10th standard pass
• One year experience as attender/ sub staff/multi-tasking staff in an office of Government Establishment /Public Sector Undertaking/Private Sector Companies/Reputed Commercial Establishments.

General Worker (Canteen) :

• 7th standard pass
• Certificate Course in Food Production/Food and Beverages Service from Government Food Craft Institute and two year Vocational Certificate in Catering and Restaurant Management.

Age Preference :

Candidates attained age of 40 years (Supervisory & Workmen) & up to 35 years for Workmen as on 29.02.2016.Age Relaxable for reserved categories.

Selection Method :

Written Test –100 marks (Supervisory posts, Technical Assistant , Junior Technical Assistant , Junior Commercial Assistant, Store Keeper )

Written Test/Practical Test –100 marks (Senior Ship Draftsman)
